Description

Crispy air fryer fried pickles that are easy to prepare and packed with tangy flavor. Perfect for parties or as a snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz jar dill pickle slices, drained and patted dry (about 200250 g)
  • 1/2 cup (60 g) all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup (75 g) panko breadcrumbs (or cornmeal/breadcrumbs of choice)
  • 2 large eggs, beaten (egg wash)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Cooking spray (or a light brush of olive oil)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the pickles if necessary and pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. In one shallow bowl, place the flour seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third shallow bowl, place the panko and mix in any optional spices.
  4. Dip each pickle slice first into the flour, then into the beaten egg, then coat thoroughly with the panko.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush lightly with oil. Place the breaded pickles in a single layer in the basket.
  6. Air fry for 8–10 minutes at 400°F (200°C), flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Patting pickles dry is essential; don’t overcrowd the basket for even cooking.
