Description

Delightful bars combining creamy cheesecake, tart apples, and a swirl of caramel for a comforting dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for crust)
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened (16 oz total)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped tart apples (like Granny Smith)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan for the crust.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, eggs (one at a time), and vanilla, mixing until just combined.
  4. Fold in chopped apples, then pour over the crust, smoothing the top.
  5. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top and swirl gently with a knife.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
