Description

Deliciously indulgent bars featuring a crunchy graham cracker crust, silky cream cheese filling, tender apple pieces, and a sweet caramel swirl, perfect for fall gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for crust)
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar (for filling)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples; Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix together graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Press this mixture into the bottom of the baking dish to form the crust.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup sugar and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apples and pour the mixture over the crust.
  6. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top and use a knife to swirl it into the cheesecake batter.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the center is set.
  8. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

For best results, chill the bars overnight for clean slices, and avoid overmixing to prevent cracks.
