Delicious chocolate-covered strawberries that are perfect for any celebration or a spontaneous treat.
Ingredients

- 1 pound fresh strawberries (large and firm), stem-on and dry
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate (chopped) or chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional)
- Toppings (optional):
- 1/4 cup crushed nuts (almonds, pistachios)
- Sprinkles
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- 2 ounces white chocolate (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Wash the strawberries gently and dry them completely with paper towels.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Chop the chocolate finely and place in a heat-proof bowl with coconut oil, if using.
- Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
- Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat about two-thirds of the berry.
- Place dipped strawberries on the prepared sheet and add toppings if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 15–30 minutes to set the chocolate completely.
Notes
Use dry strawberries to prevent chocolate from seizing. Don’t overheat chocolate.
