- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 to 1.25 lb / 450–550 g total)
- 8 oz (226 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (about 113 g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 packet (about 1 oz / 28 g) Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix
- Optional: 1–2 tablespoons butter or olive oil (to brush the chicken)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a baking dish, place the chicken breasts.
- Spread cream cheese over the chicken. (If cream cheese is very firm, microwave for 10–15 seconds to soften for easier spreading.)
- Sprinkle the Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning over the cream cheese.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer to confirm doneness: the internal temperature should read 165°F (74°C). If chicken breasts are thick, pound to an even thickness for even cooking. For a crisper top, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3–4 days.
