Description
Delicious and quick air-fried churro bites with a crunchy exterior and a tender interior, coated in cinnamon sugar.

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup cinnamon sugar (for coating)
- Oil spray (for air frying)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, butter, and salt; bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in the flour until smooth, forming a cohesive dough.
- Let the mixture cool slightly (2–3 minutes), then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until glossy and slightly thick.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip and pipe small bites (about 1–1.5 inches) onto parchment paper.
- Lightly spray the churro bites with oil spray and air fry for 10–12 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Immediately roll the hot churro bites in cinnamon sugar before they cool.
Notes
For a lighter coating, use 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar. Vegan option: replace butter with vegan butter and use a flax ‘egg’. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 day for best freshness.
