Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Oil for frying (vegetable, canola, peanut, or sunflower)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your breading station: set out bowls with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Dredge each chicken strip in flour, shaking off the excess.
  3. Dip the floured chicken into the egg, then coat it thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering (about 350°F / 175°C).
  5. Carefully add the breaded chicken pieces in a single layer. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels or a wire rack.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

To keep the chicken tenders crispy, avoid overcrowding the pan while frying. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days.
