Description

These Holiday Pigs in a Blanket are a timeless, crowd-pleasing recipe—simple to make, endlessly adaptable, and perfect for sharing across holiday tables or cozy mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package cocktail sausages (about 1216 mini sausages; ~1216 oz / 340450 g)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed) OR 1 can refrigerated biscuit or crescent dough
  • 1 large egg + 1 tsp water (for egg wash)
  • Optional: sesame seeds or poppy seeds for topping
  • Optional garnish/dips: grainy mustard, honey mustard, ketchup, barbecue sauce, cream cheese dip

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry or biscuit dough on a floured surface and cut it into small rectangles.
  3. Place a cocktail sausage at one end of each rectangle and roll it up, sealing the edges.
  4. Place the rolled sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Brush each with the egg wash for a golden finish.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds if desired.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy your holiday gatherings!

Notes

Using turkey or chicken cocktail sausages lowers saturated fat and total calories. For extra flavor, brush dough with a thin layer of Dijon mustard before wrapping.
