Description

Freshly baked biscuits with a flaky texture and rich taste, perfect for cozy mornings or festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk until just combined—do not overmix!
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until smooth.
  6. Roll out to about 1-inch thick and cut out biscuits using a round cutter.
  7. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Be careful not to overmix the dough; it should be lumpy. Check for doneness by tapping the base—if it sounds hollow, they’re ready!
