Description
A refreshing spring cocktail that combines floral lavender, zesty lemon, and effervescent sparkling water for a delightful experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ounces limoncello
- 1 ounce lavender simple syrup
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 1 small lemon)
- 2–3 ounces sparkling water or club soda
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs for garnish
Instructions
- Make the Lavender Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat, cover, and let steep for 15 minutes. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the buds. Let cool to room temperature.
- Prepare the Cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, add 2 ounces limoncello, 1 ounce cooled lavender simple syrup, and 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds until well chilled.
- Assemble the Spritz: Fill a wine glass or Collins glass with ice cubes. Strain the limoncello mixture into the glass. Top with 2–3 ounces of sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently once to integrate.
- Garnish and Serve: Add a thin lemon slice and a fresh lavender sprig for aroma and visual appeal. Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
For a lower-sugar option, reduce syrup to ¾ ounce or use a half-sugar syrup. To make a pitcher for a party, multiply ingredients by the number of servings and add sparkling water just before serving to preserve fizz.
