Description
A delicious twist on traditional kielbasa bites, featuring a tangy honey-mustard glaze and smoked paprika, perfect for appetizers or snacks.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (454 g) kielbasa sausage (one link or multiple small links)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) yellow mustard
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) honey
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Fresh parsley, finely chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with foil for easier cleanup.
- Slice kielbasa crosswise about every 1/2 inch (1–1.5 cm) without cutting all the way through to create a “Hasselback” effect.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the yellow mustard, honey, and smoked paprika until smooth and combined.
- Brush the mustard-honey mixture generously over the kielbasa, ensuring some of the glaze seeps into the cuts. Reserve a tablespoon of the glaze for brushing midway through baking.
- Arrange the glazed kielbasa bites in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the glaze has caramelized. Brush with reserved glaze at the 12–15 minute mark for a glossy finish.
- Remove from oven, let rest a couple minutes, and garnish with fresh parsley just before serving.
Notes
Choose high-quality kielbasa for best results. Opt for turkey kielbasa for a lighter version and adjust the baking time as needed. These bites can also be air-fried at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes.
