Description

Delicious bite-sized pinwheels filled with a creamy spinach dip, perfect for gatherings or as an elegant starter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 package (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 sheet cold puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten with a splash of water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  2. Add the thawed and drained spinach to the mixture and stir until evenly combined.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet. Spread the spinach mixture evenly, leaving a long edge free of filling.
  4. Carefully roll the pastry like a jelly roll, ensuring it’s tight.
  5. Wrap the rolled log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  7. Slice the chilled log into half-inch rounds and place on a lined baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops of the pinwheels with the beaten egg mixture.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
