- 1 box vanilla cake mix (follow package directions to bake the cake)
- 1 cup frosting (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup white chocolate or chocolate melts (for coating)
- Sprinkles (for decoration)
- Lollipop sticks
Instructions
- Bake the vanilla cake according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl and mix in the frosting until well combined.
- Scoop out small portions of the cake mixture (about 1 to 1 1/4 tablespoon each) and shape them into balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
- Insert lollipop sticks into each ball about halfway.
- Freeze the cake pops for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Melt the white chocolate or chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between, until smooth. Keep warm.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, ensuring complete coverage. Tap off excess coating.
- Immediately decorate with sprinkles before the coating sets.
- Place the finished cake pops upright in a styrofoam block or a cake pop stand to set completely.
Notes
For best results, keep the cake pops in a cool environment to prevent them from sliding off the sticks. Customize with different frostings or sprinkles for each occasion.
