A quick and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken and glossy noodles coated in a sweet and savory garlic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes (if using) to create a rich, sticky sauce.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and completely cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and stir to ensure it’s well coated. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Prepare the noodles according to package directions. Drain and toss with a little oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and carefully toss them with the chicken and sauce until fully mixed.
  7. Plate the noodles, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!

Notes

For the best results, use chicken thighs for a juicier dish. Marinate the chicken in the sauce for at least 30 minutes for more flavor.
