Description

Delicious fudgy brownies enhanced with fresh strawberry puree, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed (about 150 g)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (113 g)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200 g)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (120 g)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (about 25 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered (confectioners’) sugar (60 g) for glaze
  • 12 tablespoons strawberry puree (for glaze; about 1530 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter and sugar until combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in the strawberry puree.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  9. Allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  10. For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar with a tablespoon or two of strawberry puree until smooth; spread over the cooled brownies.
  11. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor. Adjust baking time to avoid overbaking.
