Irresistibly flaky and filled with savory ham and gooey cheddar, these Ham and Cheese Sticks are perfect for any occasion, from breakfast to appetizers.


Ingredients

  • 2 tubes crescent dough sheets
  • 1 pound deli-sliced ham
  • 8 cheddar cheese sticks
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ tablespoon dried minced onion or onion powder
  • ½ tablespoon poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. Roll out crescent dough sheets and cut each into 4 pieces.
  3. Distribute ham evenly on each piece of dough.
  4. Place one cheddar cheese stick on top of the ham.
  5. Fold in dough ends and roll to seal the seam.
  6. Place the sticks seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  7. Whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, dried onion, and poppy seeds.
  8. Brush the butter mixture over each stick.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
  10. Let cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, use plant-based deli slices and vegan cheese sticks.
